Specialized Studies Program (SSP) in Autism Spectrum Disorders:
The SSP in Autism Spectrum Disorders addresses the critical professional development needs of educators and practitioners working with this highly specialized population of learners. Developed by ABTA in collaboration with UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute and the Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, UC Davis School of Education and UC Davis Extension, participants learn both current research and practical strategies in an integrated curriculum. The three course program is taught by the professional educators and practitioners of ABTA, with guest lectures and presentations by the top researchers through UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute. Academic units as well as the SSP award can be used for both professional development hours and salary advancement. The knowledge gained through course participation is a must have for any practitioners working with the ASD population.
SSP also available as contracted courses through UC Davis Extension.
